Having our home built by Elegant Living Projects was the best decision we ever made. This is our story… After initially building with Porter Davis and experiencing the devastation of their liquidation, we were left with a partially built home and an overwhelming sense of uncertainty. Desperate to find a builder who could take over, we met with several companies, but it wasn’t until we sat down with David and Nik that we truly felt reassured. They not only sympathised with our situation, but also demonstrated the capability and expertise to complete our home to the highest standard. From the very beginning, their knowledge of the trade was evident. They implemented superior building techniques, carefully reviewed our private building inspector’s reports, and rectified every defect. No detail was overlooked. Despite our many (many!) questions, they answered each one with patience and professionalism. Unlike other builders, Elegant Living Projects gave us full access to our site, allowing us to witness every stage of construction firsthand. Any request for changes or upgrades was met without hesitation, and their flexibility made all the difference. The quality of workmanship from every single trade—carpenters, electricians, plumbers, cabinet makers, tilers, renderers, and painters—was simply outstanding. Each professional was a master of their craft, and the result was a home finished to an incredibly high standard. Behind the scenes, Louise and Haley in the office provided excellent support, ensuring full transparency on contracts, variations, invoicing and ordering, thus providing a seamless experience from start to finish. We thought that were done and that we would be in our last home forever, but children who seem to be set to stay at home for some time yet meant that we needed to look at a bigger home. I’ve built a few family homes in the past and I wasn’t prepared to go down the route of accepting the plans of a typical volume builder because once you make structural changes, these will start adding up. In my case, I wanted to build a house to my taste and after checking a few builders out, I chose Elegant Living Projects as they were custom builders that could do this for me. If you are wanting to take pride in a home that you know will be built well and not cut-corners, I would highly recommend building with Elegant Living Projects. David and Nik are honest builders that take pride in their work and build to customer requirements. In my prior house, I had engaged a building inspector, however when building with David and Nik, I didn’t even engage a building inspector because I trusted them, and that trust is because I could see the products, building expertise, and quality of the work they did. If you want a cheap house, best to go with a volume builder, but if you want good old fashion and honest custom builders, you won’t regret building with Elegant Living Projects.
